The Wiris Security is a combine optical and thermal camera with a 30X optical zoon and an 8x digital thermal zoom. The camera is equipped with a built in 256 GB SSD for storage. It is also equipped with a microSD card slot and a USB A host port for connecting flash drives and other peripherals.
The camera is set operate in Ethernet SDK mode. This means the video stream, controls, and file data are all accessible over the aircraft network.
Using the Camera SDK Software (Preferred Method)
Installing the Camera SDK
Download the SDK GUI Software from Here
The software is compatible with Windows 10
If using another operating system you will have to use one of the other connection methods below
Extract the zip folder
Go to the gui>install folder
Open the WIRISethernetStreamSDKGUI-x.x.x.exe installer
Follow the prompts to install
Connecting to the Camera with the SDK
Power on the aircraft and payload
Power on the ground radio and connect to the GCS
or connect GCS directly to the aircraft ethernet port for ground testing if desired
Open the Wiris SDK program from the Start Menu
Enter the IP Address of the camera
The address is pre-set from the factory
It is labeled on the camera
It is also available in the Radios and Network print out provided with the aircraft
Click ok to connect
Connecting to the camera with VLC (Alternate Method)
Open VLC
Enable TCP RTSP streaming (Do this once for each computer used)
Go to Tools > Preferences
Select “All” in the bottom left corner
Search for RTSP using the search bar
Go to Demuxers > RTP/RTSP
Select the checkbox for “Use RTP over RTSP (TCP)”
Click Media > Open Network Stream
Enter the stream information below
Change the IP address to match the address of your camera
Click open
