Set Static IP or Enable DHCP in Windows 10
Open the old Windows control panel
Press the "Windows Key" and search for control panel
Change “view by” in the top right corner to small icons
Click on network and sharing center
Select change adapter settings
Double click on the Network adapter whose settings must be changed
Click Properties in the bottom left of the window
Select Internet protocol Version 4 from the list and click properties
Scroll to one of the sections below for static or dynamic (DHCP) settings and follow the steps
Set Static IP
Select "Use the following IP Address"
Enter the desired settings
IP address and subnet mask are mandatory
Default Gateway and DNS server settings are optional
Click Ok to close the menus
Enable DHCP (Dynamic IP)
Select Obtain an IP Address Automatically
Select Obtain DNS Server Automatically
Click Ok to close the menus
