SE-8 Cube uSD Card Removal Instructions

General

The SE-8 copter contains a Cube flight controller running ArduCopter. The log files and other data are stored on a microSD card in the Flight Controller. It may be necessary at times to remove this card to directly access the log files or make changes to other stored files.

Process Overview

  • Remove back cover from SE-8 hub

  • Push in microSD card to eject from holder

  • Remove card

  • Reinsert card

  • Push in card to re-engage holder

  • Secure back cover on SE-8 hub

Removing Card

Remove Aircraft Back Cover

  • Use a 2mm hex driver (allen key) to remove the four screw holding on the back plate

  • Note: Your aircraft may or may not be equipped with strobes on the back panel as shown in the picture. This will not affect the micro SD card removal process

Eject MicroSD Card

  • The MicroSD card is located just below the USB receptacle on the flight controller.

  • Note: The flight controller in this picture is colored orange. Flight controller may be orange, black or blue colored

  • Gently press inward on the microSD card with a tool to eject the card

Remove MicroSD Card

  • Use pliers or other tools to grab the card and pull straight outwards

Replacing Card

Reinsert MicroSD Card

  • Carefully alight and reinsert the microSD card with the pins facing upwards.

Engage MicroSD Card Holder

  • Press in gently on the MicroSD card with a tool until you hear or feel a small click.

  • The card is now locked into the holder

Replace and Secure Back Panel

  • Place the back panel on the aircraft hub and use four screws to secure it.
