General

The IP address and the range used for BFD aircraft follows a simple scheme

  • 10.x.y.1 Aircraft-Side Network Radio

  • 10.x.y.2 Flight Controller

  • 10.x.y.20 Video Encoder 1

  • 10.x.y.21 Video Encoder 2

  • 10.x.y.25 FPV Video Encoder

  • 10.x.y.101 Ground-Side Network Radio

  • 10.x.y.102 Primary Ground Control Station (If provided by BFD Systems)

  • 10.x.y.110 Tether Unit Ground Router

  • 10.x.y.120 Second Ground-Side Network Radio

Device Address Ranges (/24 Subnet Address Usage)

  • 1-49: Reserved for Aircraft on-board equipment

  • 51-99: Automatically assigned to aircraft side payloads through DHCP

  • 101-149: Reserved for ground station equipment

  • 151-199: Automatically assigned to ground-side network equipment through DHCP

  • 50, 100, 150: Reserved for Future Use

  • 200: QoS Priority IP address reserved for customer use

  • 201-254: Static IP address range reserved for customer use

BFD Systems – 2020
