Introduction

Some Blue Alta-X aircraft that are equipped for carrying Hyspex cameras are also equipped with a Doodle network radio that can be used to access the mavlink stream of the aircraft. This allows for uploading missions, changing parameters, and monitoring the flight from a PC.

How to Connect to the Mavlink Stream

• Power on the Doodle Ground station

  • Seat the battery onto the main radio pack

  • Press and hold the power button on the bottom of the battery for up to 10 seconds

  • If the battery is on but the radio remains off

    • Press and hold power button on the radio module for 10 seconds

• Connect your GCS laptop to the ground radio

  • You may use the following connection types

    • USB-C

      • Connect a USB cable from the USB-D port on the device to your PC

    • Wifi

      • Use the credentials printed on the side of the device to connect to a local wifi hotspot generated by the ground wearable radio unit

    • Ethernet

      • Plug the supplied ethernet adapter into the USB-H port on the radio

      • Connect an Ethernet cable between the device and the PC

• Use your ground station program to connect to the address and port labeled on the ground radio
